Lifeguard JOINT BOND™ is a one step, high solids emulsion designed to penetrate and bond with the joint sand. JOINT BOND™ locks the pavers in place by binding the sand within the joints. JOINT BOND™ stops the joint sand from being washed away by rain or from normal cleaning. Most paving systems over time will lose sand between the joints and cause the pavers to move out of alignment. This can cause danger to pedestrian traffic.

JOINT BOND™ forms a durable coating on the surface to protect the pavers from oil, food stains, fertilizers and acid rain. JOINT BOND™ will deepen the color and enhance the beauty of the paving stones.

JOINT BOND™ is applied to the surface with a squeegee or garden sprayer. A squeegee should be used to move the material from the surface of the pavers into the joints to ensure proper saturation. The application rate will vary depending upon the width of the joint and the looseness of the sand. A coverage rate of 100 square feet per gallon should be used as a guideline for the application.
